silly oc things doing silly oc stuff?

(gpu not included - 6700k - GB z170 hd3) i think im doing something really wrong when it comes to overclocking anything other than cpu, giving the bclk a tiny bump from 100 to 100.01 causes the system not to start, giving ram a bump from 2133 to anything higher and i get memory bsod all day long, even after increasing voltages to what people recomend not going over, and yes i have tried lowing cpu clock a bit to see if it sticks but still nothing

Touch the CPU ration multiplier, not BCLK.

even at stock settings with voltage bump, it complains when touching ram or bclk

You overclock the CPU by changing the CPU frequency multiplier, not the bclk.

 

Bclk overclocking is usually only done when you want to increase the CPU speed with a locked CPU(some server CPUs can be overclocked this way, depending on your board).

something seems off usually you can get at least 100.5-102  without too much problem specially on the new cpus as they have less things connected to the bclk, and 100.1 is should not be enough to throw your pc off, my 4690k can get 101-102 no stress (dont usually need more than that)

Cheap boards commonly dont go anywhere on the BCLK apartment. Even mid range ones without a clock gen chip might refuse to go past say, 103.

 

Cheap boards also do badly when it comes to setting timings. That can crash systems as well.
