Video Idea/General Discussion - Briefcase PC

I know this is an old "trend" and some people in this community have built one already but I'd love to see what the guys at LMG could do.
I think this would be a fun challenge. Managing performance, cooling, noise-levels, weight, I/O, portability and features like built-in speakers, monitor(s), keyboard and mouse.
But then again there are small formfactor PCs out there like the corsair one or origin pcs "Cronos" and laptops are getting pretty good for gaming.
What do you think? Is there still a place for the good old "briefcase-PC"?

I don't think so. Nobody makes transparent glass or plexi briefcases with thousand of leds. :)

If it's going to get carried around, then I think it would be bumped and dropped. Not good for parts.

They have a lasercutter at LMG, they could make their own plexi briefcase :D

I think of it more as a "My friends are throwing a LAN-Party and I don't want to carry arround my big, heavy rig"-PC. Something you don't use or carry around on a daily basis.

But you don't get the same price/performance on a laptop. Sure I could buy a used "gaming laptop" for 700€ (800$) with a GTX 965m but I could also buy a used gaming pc with a GTX 970 and 4 core 3GHz Xeon for 550€ (630$).That way I would have saved 150€ (170$) and have a more powerful machine.
