Ryzen 5 1600 stock cooler or 3rd party?

datvu4202

Will the ryzen 5 1600 face any problems when running with a stock cooler for light streaming? (Aprox. 2-3hrs per day)

I have an option with the ID Cooling SE-214RGB, what is your opinion on that heatsink?

Nah, the stock cooler can handle an OC to 3.8GHz or so as well, it's pretty darn awesome.

The ID cooling will be better, but the stock cooler is a great cooler. I believe the 1600 comes with the wraith spire, and the Wraith stealth is already such a good option, so the spire will be even better. If you want to get some better overclocking done though, just use the ID cooling tower.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

OC shouldn't be the top priority for my purpose, and even so, i would just OC it to 3.4- 3.5Ghz, is it a problem then?

The stock cooler is decent and you shouldn't have any issue running at stock. For overclocking you are going to have to watch voltages and thermals to see what the cooler can handle because what voltage and clock speed you clock too will affect the best of the cpu and how much thermal energy the gpu cooler needs to dissipate.

Honestly the stock heatsink is pretty darn good. Unless you want to throw money into the aesthetics pool I don't see a point upgrading from it.

In that case just use stock

You can get away with alot more than that. You want to overclock to 3.7 at least. The voltage requirements up until after 3.7 are very small so you don't take as much of a hit on heat as you would when having to increace the voltage a bunch. I mean my 1700 actually ran cooler running at s manual overclock of 3.7 because I was using less voltage than stock settings which tend to put voltage on the safe side aka way more than is nessisary.

So in conclusion, I shouldnt be worry about the temps getting too high?
