New SSD

Sa1tama

So i need an SSD... I can't tolerate with my cheap and slow HDD.

I have looked in local market and found these deals:

https://www.mymarket.ge/en/product/12176769/Samsung+850++evo+120GB

https://www.mymarket.ge/en/product/12175688/მყარი+დისკი+Kingston+SA400+120GB++SSD++ვინჩესტერი++hard+dr

https://www.mymarket.ge/en/product/12134261/Intel+PRO+1500+SSD+180GB

to convert the currency into USD divide it on 2.6

Which one should I buy?

Get a huge HDD and an Optane accelerator. Much better value and similar performance.

it's time

No? Everything I've heard about Optane points to good speeds for fairly cheap. Can you maybe link to some sources saying otherwise so I can get a better idea about this? Thanks.

it's time

Fair enough. Then go with Enderman's suggestion of the 850 Evo.

Optane is crap.

Not only does it make 0 sense for the price, but it only accelerates a very small amount of data, and every time the most often data changes it slows down again and needs to transfer the data from the HDD.

Everyone here knows optane is bad, even linus doesn't recommend it.

It is a much better decision to simply get a bigger real SSD and choose what data you put on it.
