Does Deepcool makes decent fans?

gbmike

My case has 5 fans support and only come with 1 rear fan. Considering to add 4 of Deepcool Xfan 120. Are they good budget case fans? I was looking for NZXT FN-120 V2 and found the Xfan 120 with almost same spec and near 1/3 of the NZXT price.

I've also had good experience with the Arctic fans as a budget option.

I would expect the Deepcool ones to be fine, but unspectacular, in much the same way as most budget fans are. They will work, they will move air, they will be moderately quiet if the RPM is reduced.

I wouldnt spend too much time looking at fan specifications though, all manufacturers measure it differently and/or just pull figures our of their arse.

As a budget option I always tell people to get the CoolerMaster 4 pack of 120mm fans.  I buy the 4 pack anytime its on sale for backup fans, usually pay $8-9 bucks for 4 decent fans (remember we are talking budget) - yeah you get mustard and ketchup colored wires and no sleeves but its a budget!

Ive never had bad issues with CM fans.  The only ones that die on me are lifecycle, and even then I can usually use some silicon and get some more miles out of them before they don't work completely.

Both fans are similar in that they're either noisy at max rpm or don't push a lot of air a low rpm. They're passable as stocks fans included in a case but I wouldn't recommend buying them separately.

What are your specs and budget? Can you link us to where you're shopping?

USD10 or less for 2 fans. Only need them as temporary fans since Noctua or other good fans are expensive if you buy 3 or 4 of them.

The stock rear exhaust and a TY147ASQ front intake should be plenty for cooling. https://www.tokopedia.com/redcomp/thermalright-ty-147asq-fan?trkid=f=Ca312L000P0W0S0Sh00Co0Po0Fr0Cb0_src=universe_page=1_ob=3_q=thermalright_po=27_catid=312&lt=/searchproduct - p6 - product
