android whatsapp backup to iphone

Hey guys so I have had android forever and now I bought the xs but whatsapp on iphone only allows you to restore from icloud which I never had, android backs up whatsapp chats to google drive so I have been searching for about an hour now and all I could find is one application that you have to pay to get the full version but it does not seem to read my device even though they suggest your android should be rooted which mine is. do you guys think there is any other way? thanks!

Not going to work natively due to the different platforms. 

 

The only programs that claim to do so are sketchy ones that ask for money to do so. I'd stay away from them.

trust me i have tried, it doesnt work and some sketchy software does work but only like 5 messages.

there is an app called android to ios which transfers contacts and stuff.

it is an official apple app

Current build: Ryzen 7 1700x, asus prime x370-pro, 16gb gskill trident z rgb, asus rog strix gtx 1070 ti, corsair rm650x, nzxt s340 elite, samsung 840 pro 256gb, 1.5tb hdd.

There is no official method of doing this due to the fact the way backups are done on either platform is drastically different.

As far as I know, it does not include data for third party apps like WhatsApp.

correct, but it does transfer all first party stuff as far as possible

no way to inject backups to either end.

Yup that’s the problem

Yeah I did that for mostly contacts
