Normally this wouldn't be a question however do to the impending tariffs I am considering getting a rebuilt computer I'm not sure if those are affected but it may be cheaper to do that since all components  are going up in price.

What should I do  I have to wait a few months (just bought an expensive business laptop) but I feel I should upgrade before Jan 1st when tariffs  go up to 25 %

Prebuilts will be affected by the tariffs too. There was a custom case company that shut down already (can't remember the name) and it'll only get worse.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

If stores have stock prior to the tariffs then it might take awhile before the effects of the tariffs hit prebuilt prices.

The reason I'm considering rebuilt is the price per component, where as rebuilt is sold as one whole unit.

I guess this is just speculation but either way I'm looking to upgrade. My 4670k is aging

Get a used i7?  It could help improve performance.

CPU: Sempron 2500+ / P4 2.8E / P4 2.6C / A64 x2 4000+ / E6420 / E8500 / i5-3470 / i7-3770
GPU: TNT2 M64 / Radeon 9000 / MX 440-SE / 7300GT / Radeon 4670 / GTS 250 / Radeon 7950 / 660 Ti

everyone suggests that but its not worth it, the price for a used i7 4th gen is the same as a new 8th gen
