Hi, i've been looking online for a bit and i put together this build:

I wanted to know if all components are compatible, if i should change something (except the monitor which i have already bought) and if i should get this case or the riotoro cr500
Also, the ssd is enough for memory since i already have an external hdd

EDIT: Changed the link, also thanks for all the tips, now i never have to set foot in tom's hardware again

H500 is a really good case, you'll be satisfied.

Might be a bit pricey though, but it's nice enough to justify it.

Edit: actually the price is really sensible, I had 256Gb in mind for some reason.

Overall pretty solid build, some room to make a simple upgrade later and a lot of use in the now.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

Says right at the tip that they are all compatible... The PSU is iffy I think is the general opinion, the G3 units have pretty crappy protections iirc

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Come on, we will protect him in case PSU protections fails. :)

Im not sure how you suppose we will help beyond "told you so" when the PSU blows up and takes the system with it. Its unlikely but I'm not recommending that PSU unless it's been changed and fixed

Could you recommend a better one?

All the parts Seem to be nicely matched but if I were to change one thing about it, it would be: I will have bought a single 8gb DIMM so I would have a future headroom of putting another 8gig stick over dual-channel memory throughput bus. And if you think you aren't probably gonna upgrade, yeah put 8gig memory combined of two 4gig DIMMs which will give you the benefit of wide bus throughput out of the box.

console.log("way to pro");

well with b360m there are 4 slots available so there's still room for 16 or even 24GB

The build looks really good, but i cant switch the video card since i'm from italy and the prices on the rx580 are actually disturbing

That's probably something I like to avoid - addressing multiple DIMMs per channel unless I really have to. The more there are the DIMMs paired per channel, the harder it is to sustain low latency cycles where some applications might have slight memory performance loss because of that. It would be more efficient to use at least 8gig DIMMs to pair into higher dynamic allocated volumes, that's just my opinion tho and based on my experience.

What do you plan to use this for? Gaming only? Non-gaming only? A little bit of both?

Also ever though about a Ryzen build?

CPU: Sempron 2500+ / P4 2.8E / P4 2.6C / A64 x2 4000+ / E6420 / E8500 / i5-3470 / i7-3770
GPU: TNT2 M64 / Radeon 9000 / MX 440-SE / 7300GT / Radeon 4670 / GTS 250 / Radeon 7950 / 660 Ti

Its mostly for gaming.

How about going for a smaller capacity SSD and 1TB or 2TB HDD combo?

Basically, the SSD for O.S. while programs and data on the HDD.
