Hello everyone!

I currently moved to a new place to start university and have all of my gaming stuff at home (PC, keyboard, mouse, ...) and I have no plans on bringng those things to my new flat.

I do have a laptop in my new place though, and instead of taking my old mouse (the g502 proteus spectrum) everywhere with me, I decided to get a new mouse mainly for universtiy and a little bit of gaming, if I ever feel the desire to play a little bit. All I need is basically a wireless mouse which can handle some gaming. It also doesn't need to have a lot of programable buttons, or any other flashy features, but I'd still like to have the option to use it wired (or at least charge it over usb).

The Logitech G703 seemed like a perfect fit, but I came across a lot of complaints about the scrolling wheel failing (or going in the opposite direction), so I am not quite sure whether to buy it or not. If you have any other suggestions I'd be really happy, since the wireless gaming mouse market doesn't seem to be as saturated as the wired one and I am having difficulties in finding something that suits me.

Some other things that might be important:

- I'd say I have a little above average handsize

- I mostly use the mouse with a claw grip

- I don't mind a mouse with some weight to it

- The lower the prize the better, but I am more than happy to spend a little more on something that will not only last longer, but also brings more joy in using it

- I don't prefer any company, since I haven't had a lot of experiences with gaming mice, but I am happy to take suggestions

Okay current mouse is a logitech 903. and if you have the mousepad it's a nice product.... avoid it like the plague. the build quality is absolute crap and it feels plastic fantastic. spent 4 months getting it replaced when it failed.

Mouse before was a madcatz, and the quality was brilliant but expensive. If the reboot can come in at a decent price I will definately be going back.

Note: I was typing when previous post was going up. it wasn't a reply... still stand by my origonal post. build quality is crap, and it feels like a mouse from the 90's in your hand.

I heard that there is a huge double click issue with the G903

So you're saying I should avoid the G903, am I getting this right?

I have seen this mouse before but I it seems that it's a little overpriced for what it offers. But thanks for the suggestion.

The mouse I used before the 903 was a madcatz rat9. It was very expensive, but it was the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. The only reason I replaced it was the rechargable batteries were dying and with madcatz busted they were impossible to replace. If the new madcatz lives up to the old I will be going back.

and that's totally okay, it's just that all i need is a wireless mouse with like 1 extra programable button and i really don't think that something like that should cost like 150€

same applies here. there are like 100 different ways to set up that mouse and all i really need is a simple mouse with (if even) an extra button to put mute for ts/discord on there (if

So, and I hate to recomend them after my issues, earlier model logitech. The powerplay mat fixes every single battery issue you might have, just find something compatible with it. if you're not sold. razer came out with something similar recently, and new madcatz is supposed to drop something next month, but no word that I've heard on an eta.

since i really don't need all of the extra buttons i am currently thinking about bitting into the bullet and going for the g703 and just hoping that i am still under warranty if the scrolling wheel issue occurs
