Hi

I have was wondering is there was a way of estermting the power consumption of the yet to be anounced budget range of nvidia cards?

I have a old pre built that had a 25w limet on the pcie so my understanding is the best card i can fit in at present is the ddr4 1030.

So I'm trying to work out if i shoud get one of them or wait and see.

I mostly play bulding and rts games that are older

Or if any one can recommend a low profile card with a tdp of less than 25w i would be grateful.

Don't expect any GT2030 for at least another year, I'd say.

Also, the GT1030 DDR4 is pretty much unusable, so I'd get the 1030 GDDR5 variant. Should honestly be okay in a 25W slot. Might have to downclock it a little, but I doubt it.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

If you, like I am, are running a server with a PCIe slot limitation of 25watts or less, you have a challenge on your hands, but one that can be overcome, as I have.

Or are you running one of those sff dells with no power supply over 200 watts? Let me/us know what you are running, it might help with a vid card decision

That presents more issues that it solves...it changes the height of the video card for starters....

Oh i though it would stop working in demearnding situations. Are you able to download clock with software stays at 25 or under?  Btw I got the sff pc off eBay to play around with before i pay out to build a new pc so as long as i don't burn the house down its not the end of the world  (the last time i built a pc AGP was the standard)

sff systems aren't really meant to be expandable. You have a challenge on your hands here
