Wow, i have to say. i just got a gigabyte aorus 1080ti used for 550. this thing is crazy. i have done heavens benchmark and it scored 2 times higher than my r9 390x without any overclocks on cpu or gpu. i am still using a 1300x but i'll see how it goes, maybe a black friday upgrade to the 2600x.
i have no complaints about his card, even it being used. i got the latest nvidia drivers installed and adjusted the fan curve to be very mild and it idles at 34C and during heaven benchmark it got to a whopping 68C, no where near the 84C thermal throttle. my 390x would hit 94C in like 1 minute with an aggressive fan curve.

Yeah it feels good. But how much did you expect out of a refreshed 290x which is close to a refreshed 7970

i got my 390x new like 4 years ago now and thought that was a decent upgrade to my gtx 760. i was expecting a good jump but this is a while new level. time to throw what i can at it with the 1300x. it's a bad bottleneck now after i ran 2 tests on time spy. 7569 i guess isn't terrible with that cpu, it went from a 7494 at 3.8GHz to the 7569 with the oc at 4GHz. but definitely need a cpu in the near future to really stress the 1080ti. 

what sort of thermals should i expect to see at stock clocks on the card? low to mid 70s?
