Hi,

I'm in need of a different web based FTP server. At my job we're currently using Crush-FTP that works quite well. It has all the features that we need. We use this portal to share several gigabytes of data to our customers. Crush-FTP offers a good encryption over the data.

but we've hit the limitation of the software. It's not meant for dealing with hundreds of gigabytes and our data. We want to look at other options to see if they can offer us more features than Crush-FTP does now. Money isn't the issue.

Does anyone know a good solution?

We require these functions:

- File encryption.

- Easy to use web interface.

- User must be able to share data.

- Must be able to handle lots of data at a time (uploading/downloading hundreds of GBs)

Thnxx.

Have you considered switching to some newer cloud storage application, for example NextCloud? It's not FTP, it uses HTTP(S if you configure it). It uses standard TLS for in-traffic encryption. Back-end storage can be configured according to your needs.

Why does it have to be web based?

Maybe it's worth looking into a Webdav solution. They're typically more suited to large file transfers, unlike FTP.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Might've misused the word web-based.

What I mean is have the FTP functionality with a web portal that allows users to simply drag and drop to upload a file.

The reason for this is because we have 250 employees that want to share a file every now and then. 95% of those users only deal with small excel or word files so I'm not worried about that.
Crush-FTP is a simple java based program and it works great for small files with a lower number of users. We're planning to add 200 more users so we need a program that's capable of handling tons of data.

I found CompleteFTP and I'm currently testing it out to see if it will fit out needs (CompleteFTP is able to connect to our active directory so that's neat!! :):) ).
