Day-Z Standalone Question

so ive been searching around the airfield and military base for ages and i cannot seem to find an M4 anywhere ? they used to be in abundance and i could never find any ammo - but now its the other way around ? have they accidentally taken them out in a recent patch or something ......

also i have been in severs where they have just restarted so all the loot had re spawned. ( i have about 300 rounds )

You must just be unlucky, I usually find M4s in barracks, take a look under the beds in there.

might be , but i have ive even been into about 5 servers this morning ( all just started ) and nothing ive looked under the beds in the barracks and the tents etc but nothing ... btw this had only happened the last two days

I haven't played much today but I found a couple of M4s yesterday in barracks.  If you really want one then sit in the barracks and server hop for a bit looking through them all, if doors are closed then people haven't been through them.  Take a look at this map http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#2.163.064

OO they updated the map but yeh thats what ive been doing and all i keep finding is magnums ammo and fnx45

ive been into about 7 servers now all new ones and nothing just ammo ammo ammo and more ammo

dude im on atm it took me about 10 empty servers to find an m4. They must have changed the spawn rate over the last 1-2 days

ive been in about 20 servers and cannot find one !!

Good thing I have my fully pristine m4 with magpul handguard and stock with acog, silencer, and bipod

OO they updated the map but yeh thats what ive been doing and all i keep finding is magnums ammo and fnx45 

There are waaaaaay to many Magnums, every fire station I go in has atleast 2.  M4s were common and I think they've changed them to uncommon now.

 

Good thing I have my fully pristine m4 with magpul handguard and stock with acog, silencer, and bipod 

It's really not hard to gear up if you server hop.

well i couldnt find one and i was trying for about an hour and a half and now becasue everyone just shoots on sight i got killed and cant be assed to play again atm

just got fully looted like i had all the best shit and then i go to open a door to one of the admin buildings and there is a camper who sprays me every time this happens

Everyone shoots on sight at the airfield because they think everyone else will KoS
