Don´t want bottleneck

MikeRibeiro

Hi guys,

i´m planning and doing some upgrade to my Rig.

But i don´t know if i should go with the Gpu or Cpu upgrade.

My System at the moment :

Asus B150M Pro Gaming

i5-6600 - Stock Cooler

Asus Dual Fan Gtx 1060 6 Gb

Hdd WD Blue 250GB

Hdd Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB

Kingston HyperX Fury 2133 Mhz C14 1x8Gb

Psu SeaSonic M12 II-620W Bronze Evo Edition

Display Lg 24GM79G 144hz connect with dp cable 1920x1080

Case ATX Nox Hummer TG 3 front 120mm fan and 1 back fan 120mm

Mousse Zowie EC-2B

Pad Zowie G-Sr Large

Keyboad Hyperx Fury Alloy Fps

Headset Hyperx Cloud II

Windows 10 64-bit

Gaming: Fps ---- Pubg / Rainbow six / Cod Black ops4 for sure

I´m going definitely to buy more 8gb of ram now for the tricky part...

New Gpu : GTX1080 and i can stretch to go for a Gtx 1080ti or Rtx 2080

or instead.

New Cpu/Mobo : i5-8600k with asus rog Strix Z370-H keeping the Gtx 1060

When i get more money i´m going for a 250gb SSD

My intention is to stick with 1080p monitor but i want to take advantge of the 144hz refesh rate so my main point is to keep fps at that lvl.

i normally don´t put all the settings on high so i don´t care to much about beauty mode on Shooters...

With my pc even with low settings i can´t get stable fps at the intend fps

Thanks on advance.

And sorry about my english... i´m from Portugal.

Go with the ssd first, super cheap these days. Get a crucial bx500 series. They are €40 and make your pc so much faster than an hdd. Next id go for the 1080.

I'd personally get the CPU upgrade since you won't be able to squeeze more performance out of the CPU with higher end GPUs at 1080p.

Get a SSD though.

And do you think that i will get more performance out of the GTX 1060? Or did i just get a stand off.. get a new CPU with gtx1060 same FPS .... get a new GPU with the old CPU same FPS...
