My case has too much airflow. Honestly, i just want to build a computer inside of a vacuum (for science)

Inside a vacuum, would it still emit heat as we know it, or would it emit heat in the form of radiation? How can i turn my horrible concept into a reality?

Spoiler

please just let me be a dumb ass

You will radiate heat in form of IR radiation. Heat has 3 ways to transfer conduction, convection and radiation. Vacuum is perfect insulator so there won't be any conduction or convection.

As far as how to achieve it, you will need a durable case that can sustain vacuum. Seal it airtight, hook up a vacuum pump and keep sucking the air out. How low the pressure can go will depend on durability of your seals, case and pump capacity.

Heat needs to transfer to somthign to mvoe away from your components. in a vacuum the heat has nowhere to go.

People have made air tight cases for PC components before, but they pump in a dry inert gas to take the place or normal air. This is usualy done to removem oisture from the air and thus stop condensation from formign when running sub ambient cooling solutions.

its a common misconceptin that a vacume, like space, is super cold. A vacum isnt cold, space isnt cold becouse its a vacume, its cold becouse there is no heat source when there is no direct sunlight (space is cold though). In space without a space suit you would die from asphyxiation and the bends long before freezing to death. And in direct sunlight you would burn up.

Just yeet your rig into space.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III

airflow is overrated. do you propose this could work if i could keep the air density of the case down?
