GPU Update thoughts.....980 SLI to........hmmm

Greetings,

I am currently using a Duel 980 sli setup, and am looking to upgrade.  Not sure which way to go, now that actual bench marks are out.  Here is my current setup

Intel I7 6700K socket 1151 LGA watercooled

Gigabyte Tech Z170x-Gaming 3

32G ddr 4 2800 Adata XPG

Samsung EVO 960 M.2

Toshiba x300 4T hard drive

Soundblaster Zx

Inateck usb 3 4 port card.

I currently use 1 Samsung U28E590 4k display center, with 2 U28E510 4k monitors on the side.  They all run at 3840x2160 at 60hz on DP, and i have an Oculus setup.

I know i could just drop the 1200 for a RTX 2080 TI, but man just doesnt look like the numbers make it worth it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

anything you upgrade to from your current setup will not scale price wise. Meaning the price of a 2080 or even a 1080 won't yield the same percentage increase in performance. so all you need to decide is how much you dislike money

just go for the 1080ti, offers close performance to 2080ti, but for around $450 less

Not really. More like the 2080 than the 2080 ti.

Well, for the price difference the 1080ti, easily
