8700k 8600k 2700x or 2600 which is the best or tell me ones I should look at! PRICE SHOULD BE UNDER $300 

But I’ll take over

 

gpu is going to be a EVGA GTX 1080

 

Must be a AM4 or lga1151

all round high performence 8/6/700k  or if your more into workloads like rendering or streaming then ryzen might be a better choice. price is also a concern?

Why not a 2700x it’s $40 cheaper then 8700k and it has 8 cores!!!

It's not a very different performance boost with 2 more cores, maybe a few seconds (or minutes depending) and a few more frames streaming, but save your money imo.

The 2 cores is the difference between dropping frames at certain settings, and not dropping any frames at those settings. for the R5 6 core vs R7 8 core.

Easily worth buying the 2 extra cores.
