wanted your opinion on 4133mhz

G Skill currently sells 4133mhz ram which consists of 4 dimms of 8gb each-total 32gb.

I was this purchase is worth it and here are some of my thoughts.(System is a 8700K, Maximus X Code)-

(1)Will this kit support quad channel memory.

(2)How much of a performance boost does it give when compared to 3200mhz ram?

(3)Does the kit's high speed justify its price?

Pls. don't rage if you think I'm crazy or something,:/ just wanted to clear my doubts thru u guys who might be having a little bit more experience than me.

1) yes, but 8700k doesnt support quad channel. You can use 4 sticks, but it puts two sticks into the same channel.

2) Expect 1-3%, depending on the task.

3) Objectively, never. Subjectively, you can answer that yourself.

1. I don't think any of the Coffee Lake CPUs support quad channel memory. You can use all four RAM sticks as long as your board has four slots, though.

2. Unless you're doing super RAM intensive shit, not much, if any.

3. For this rig, hell no.

The kit supports quad channel, your CPU and motherboard don't.

Depends on the task, but in general, not much at all. A bunch of testing here.

Not worth the price, imo. $650 for 32GB, that's $325 per 16GB. You can get Samsung B-die kits for $100 less than that per 16GB.

:)
