Leaks I see shows the 9700k and 9900k to be soldered. Dont know whether it will be K skus only, or these two only, or everything soldered (which I doubt).

You should probably wait until reviewers actually delid them, there've been rumours about soldered CPUs in the past that turned out to be false.

Yeah I’m not going to buy anything until reviews are out (so hopefully during the first week of October). I was just wondering whether or not to add in $100-$200 to my budget for the new CPUs + motherboards. Since multiple people here have said that they’re supposed to be soldered. I’m just going to wait till all of the information is out there instead of just going with an 8700k.
