My pc is not detecting the ssd. The motherboard keeps saying there is no drive detected. I have tried to change the sata ports, turned it off and on many times from the power switch for the psu. I have talked to many computer guys but they keep saying my ssd is gone, dead. I do not know what to do. Its covered under warranty so i can get a new one but i do not want to lose my data and files. It could also be the motherboards sata ports or the sata cables. Its and intel ssd5 ssd. Pls someone help me.

See if it is detected when plugged into a mate's computer? Did this happen after a power outage? I've seen the power cycle method tossed around but I've never tried it myself. It is widely shared so do at your own risk. In theory, I don't see how it could damage your drive in any way.

first swap the sata cable

second if that don't work get a USB to SATA interface and try to copy the files if it works at all. if not working than you can either send in for data recovery or forget the data as it is gone without special tools.

Third get a external USB harddrive and a backup program like acronis and do regular backups from now on.
