How do I overclock my Inno3D Ichill X3 1080TI with MSI afterburner? (With screenshot)

Hi just bought NZXT X62 for my 1080TI and im very newbie with this overclocking stuff, how do I overclcok my card? I want it to be as powerful as it could.

1. unlock the voltage monitoring in the options menu

 

2. Set a fan curve you'd want (you can change this at all times if you dont like it)

 

3. follow instructions in this post

but instead of stopping at a specific frequency, you just keep on going until the voltage reaches 1.09V or before that when the card stops raising the voltage.

Lol, you're fine.  It crashes to save itself.  it's not meant to go to 2088MHz like that.  Keep reducing your +clock speeds til you're stable, then do with memory clocks too.

 

You'll find the sweet spot in a bit.

 

I don't mess with voltage at all, personally.  I up the Max temp and power limits, add some clock and mem OC and let her rip.  She runs between 1975 and 2025 depending on game.  Plenty for me.

I forgot to mention, DONT USE KOMBUSTOR!. Kombustor is a Furmark equivalent, while it does stress the GPU hard it doesnt represent overclock stability in gaming.

 

Best way is to use a very GPU-heavy game with the graphics options and resolution scaling pushed as high as possible as a stress test tool.

 

Did you use the voltage/frequency graph?

 

Also you can crank the power limit all the way up.
