Fans to Molex mod?

Surely just attaching the red to red and black to black would work right? or would the molex provide too much power? (The fans are 12v .56/.5amps)

As long as the voltage is the same you should have no problems. There are plenty of nice looking solutions out there though.

Why don't you just use the molex fan pass through that comes with the fan? It has 2 molex, one female and one male and a third wire coming from it with a 3 pin fan connector. They are included with even  cheap fans.
