Then probably just buy that, but it sounds like you could use that AIO money to upgrade to an 8700K...lol or intel 9th gen is coming soon and will be soldered.

so i should stick with my corsair h60 cooler?

You're going to want something better for sure, but don't spend so much on the cooler that you could have gotten an 8700K with a $25 120mm air cooler instead...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Get a 240mm AIO, or giant air cooler, but look for one that's slightly cheaper maybe...

But you're in Singapore right?

Looking on Newegg SG the R5 2600 is the same price or less compared to an 8600K?

Or maybe their 8600K pricing is broken...

More threads may be useful for higher minimum frame rates(1% and .1%), and is more useful if you ever want to do game streaming, rendering, encoding.

May also be useful for gaming in the near future.

If you were wondering about the R5 2600 vs 8600K, the 8600K is maybe 15-25% faster for gaming ryzen getting at least 100fps in the average AAA game already though, but the i5 generally costs more.

Intel's 9th gen is also coming soon and will at least be soldered so it's competitive with ryzen on thermals.

The 8600K is perfectly fine for pure gaming to put it simply.

It'll just use about 150W at 1.4V if you're trying to hit 5ghz, so the bigger the cooler the better, especially before delidding.

Perfectly fine PC, I just tend to focus on better value parts in general.

Except that case has no airflow, should get something with a mesh front

and look for like an EVGA GQ PUS, or better yet a Seasonic Focus Gold

Well the Supernova isn't even on the list I don't think, GQ is Tier 2

Although I think only the "Supernova NEX" PSUs were the ones to avoid...rest are probably acceptable G2/G3
