Windows key on ebay?

Hi, so I recently bought a Windows 10 Pro key on ebay, for $3, seems like a great deal, but is it safe to use on a system? Meaning, is there any way Microsoft could eventually cancel the key, if it infact was found out to be gotten in a *odd* way?

Like these keys arent fake or stolen right?

If you bought a key for $3 when it would normally cost $100, what do you think about it not being legit?

HAHAHAH i know right xD

anyways sometimes these keys will automatically remove itself so after a while the watermark will come back.

oh no...

(I know the watermark dosent bother alot of people, but it can be super annoying if you keep looking at it xD)

I also want to note that the price of a 'legit' Windows 10 key, would cost more than my entire current build. (Which currently is a total of $90)

Why not use linux then? cause a 100 dollar build probably isn't built for games, just web browsing

(i know many steam games support linux, pls don't kill me linux fans, i use linux too)

I am considering linux, but yea, the build does have 8GB ram, and a good 3.00GHz Xeon, so once I get the last few parts I ordered, I will test Windows vs Linux on steam games and other games and see if its actually a good choice :)

you dont have to pay for it.. just download the ISO image and Windows Media Creation tool. go through the process on WMCT (windows media creation tool) to make a bootable usb

There's been a lot of questions over these keys, and I have done it myself on some of my systems. None of them have been deactivated or anything. I kinda figured, at that low price it is worth a try.

I suspect MS are intentionally not enforcing them as they still try to increase Win10 adoption. Another example is I accidentally updated a Win7 system to Win10 using a USB drive I created. I never intended for that, and the system never had Win10 on it during the free upgrade. It was showing as activated after the update.

Same thing happened to me on a desktop I was working on for someone, I upgraded it from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. But, it stayed activated, even though this was *far* past the Windows 10 free upgrade times (I did this about a month ago).

Yeah I heard of people pirating windows 7 then using the free upgrade to windows 10 and they got a legit activation haha.

Not really. Its still pirated/cracked. They don't magically get legit CDKEY.
