System Not Getting to POST

ZeldaN64

So me and my friend had gotten my computer put together, hooked it up to a monitor, and turned it on. Everything looked OK in the case, the fans were spinning and the lights were coming on, but the system isn't posting.

Can someone help please?

I'm using a Ryzen 5 1600, a GIGABYTE GA-AB350-DS3H motherboard, the correct RAM, and have a Kingston120GB storage hooked up, as well as a 550w power supply. IT all went into a Nanoxia Rexgear Predator mATX case.

are things like cpu power and 24 pin cables installed correctly?

also might want to try posting with only 1 ram stick, or switching ram slots

I tried that, and it still didn't work.

are you using a gpu? if so, is it seated correctly/getting enough power?

Don't have a GPU, using the motherboard's display outputs

there's the problem. ryzen 1600 doesn't have onboard graphics - it needs a dedicated graphics card

Okay, thank you for your help. I really appreciate it! I'm new to building computers, so I'm not a pro at it

you're welcome

If you have a really tight budget and not really looking to play games, you can get an old gtx 710 or 720 for around $30-45 USD. Otherwise, you have a decent machine and might want to save up for something slightly better. There's often a lot of good deals on ebay for 1050Tis and 1060s
