Ok, so my wife has expressed the want for a workstation so she can draw digitally better than her tablet is providing, which I am more than willing to build for her. My question, what should I be focusing on system wise? I'm still in the rough draft of the planning, but I'm thinking about a ryzen 5 1600, a GTX 970 and 16gb of ram in a small form factor.

Trying to keep the budget around 600 to 800 USD, but I don't want to build something that struggles, so should I be looking for a better CPU or GPU?

Also, for a drawing interface, any recommendations? I'm not including the monitor or the interface in the price, I know that'll be an add on but I'd like to keep the interface under 300 and the monitor under 300 without cutting too many corners.

Is this doable and or worth doing with my price points, 600-800 for the pc, 600 for the monitor and drawing interface?

Thank you in advance.

to be honest unless she is already fluently drawing on a graphics tablet that is connected to a regular PC you are probably better off buying something like a surface pro which is both a decent computer and also has an extremely good touch interface that works for drawing.

I am hesitant to go with a surface pro or something along those lines simply because of the limitations of a laptop, little to no upgrading, etc. Plus it would be nice to branch out into audio and video editing, I own all the Vegas pro 14 editing software from an old humble bundle, would be nice to be able to start using it
