This is my first build so i need a little help. My budget lays around 1200 Euro (1350 dollars). This is what i got so far.

Intel I7 8700k

Coolermaster Masterliquid ML240L RGB

MSI Z370 SLI PLUS

G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200

Crucial MX500 m.2 500GB

Gigabyte GeForce GTX1060 WINDFORCE OC 6GB

Coolermaster Masterbox TD500

I already got a corsair CX 500W, 1tb hdd and windows 10.

Where can i improve, save money, upgrade?

Im also worried about bottlenecking.

I would appriciate it if some1 can give me clearance about the bottlenecking :)

That System wont bottleneck. You really dont have to worry much about that with Haswell and up for now ^^.

As far as saving money goes you could step down on the RAM depending on your usecase for example gaming wont have much of a performance gain from high end RAM. Or opt for the 8600K i5 instead.

you didn't specify size of RAM, so just make sure you get at least 16GB (more isn't really necessary). Also, I would say an 8700K way out matches a GTX 1060, if the purpose of the computer is for gaming.

What we really need to know is what you want to use the computer for. Gaming? video editing? web browsing? something else? if you game, what games do you play? if you play CSGO and Fortnite, I might say something different than if you said Shadow of mordor and Cities: Skylines in 4k.

My Build, v2.1 --- CPU: i7-8700K @ 5.2GHz/1.288v || MoBo: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming || RAM: 4x4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 2666 14-14-14-33 || Cooler: Custom Loop || GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black, on water || PSU: EVGA G2 850W || Case: Corsair 450D || SSD: 850 Evo 250GB, Intel 660p 2TB || Storage: WD Blue 2TB || G502 & Glorious PCGR Fully Custom 80% Keyboard || MX34VQ, PG278Q, PB278Q

Audio --- Headphones: Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX || Amp: Schiit Audio Magni 3 || DAC: Schiit Audio Modi 3 || Mic: Blue Yeti

[Under Construction]

My Truck --- 2002 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke || 6-speed

My Car --- 2006 Mustang GT || 5-speed || BBK LTs, O/R X, MBRP Cat-back || BBK Lowering Springs, LCAs || 2007 GT500 wheels w/ 245s/285s

The Experiment --- CPU: i5-3570K @ 4.0 GHz || MoBo: Asus P8Z77-V LK || RAM: 16GB Corsair 1600 4x4 || Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo || GPUs: Asus GTX 750 Ti, || PSU: Corsair TX750M Gold || Case: Thermaltake Core G21 TG || SSD: 840 Pro 128GB || HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

R.I.P. Asus X99-A motherboard, April 2016 - October 2018, may you rest in peace. 5820K, if I ever buy you a new board, it'll be a good one.

Better off with an R5 2600 + 1070 ti for gaming

What monitor resolution/refresh rate?

wouldn't suggest the coolermaster AIOs

If you're doing video editing/gameplay recording grab a Ryzen 7 8 core

I would try to squeeze in a gtx 1070 if you can, but a 1060 6GB will still perform well at 1080p 144Hz. The 8700K is very powerful so that will help with vegas/photoshop. You might be able to find a ryzen equivalent for a little less though which would let you spend more on the GPU. It mostly depends on how much of each you'll be doing though. Remember - you don't have to spend 1200 euros just cause you have 1200 euros.

There's a german part picker anyways.

Though an RX 580 8GB would be fine for a 1080p 144hz display at medium-high settings and would let you get the display now.  1070ti is pretty overkill for that resolution/refresh rate

for sure get the 8 core if you're doing streaming/recording.

The money is not the problem.

I've never worked with an AMD Cpu so I don't know where to look for. 1070 would be nice to have for gaming.

If you're going to buy the 1070ti/1080 save up for a 1440p 144hz IPS display, not a 108i0p 144hz display. Could just get the cheaper GPU for that.

Ryzen is just going to be better for streaming/recording due to having 8 cores. Still perfectly fine at gaming and has a soldered IHS as a nice bonus.

Intel is going to be faster for gaming at 1080p, only worth it if you need the best 144hz gaming.

Dunno how they compare in Vegas.

If money isn't an issue just buy a 16 core 1950X on X399?

According to pcpartpicker the build only requires 350W, Can't I recycle my old 500W Corsair CX power supply?

Useless calculator, if you're buying a $1000 PC buy a nice power supply with it.

Seasonic Focus Gold is pretty solid.

Yeah, and corsair's CX line was never the best. It wouldn't hurt to get something a little newer (and slightly higher wattage)

I don't think the motherboard is good enough... I still will be happy with a 1070
