I`m based in the UK and I`m interested in building new PCs for sale on Amazon and eBay. I have been looking for suppliers for the different components and I`m having problems uncovering the supply chain of Intel CPUs.

I get that Intel make them and then the consumer buys them from a retailer. What are the in between steps? I`m after cutting out every middle man I can do get my costs down.

Does anybody know?

There are regional distributors and representatives, and bigger companies receive product from these distributors.

Note though that unless you're gonna buy at least 50 or 100 processors at a time (probably not even then), a distributor's unlikely to bother with you, you're too small to give you better prices or discounts or marketing materials and all that.

And keep in mind that they're often conditioning buying on some cpus with the purchase of other... for example you want 25 i7 cpus , you have to order at least 10 of these celeron or whatever cpus if you want the "good price"
