how do i set my 144hz monitor to display 144hz?

My monitor needs a full linked DVI connection to use 144hz

Go down to PC settings instead of HD and Ultra HD. Choose 1080, and then you can set it to 144hz.

yeah i just figured that out, thanks. I also found out you could do it through windows settings, https://imgur.com/a/a5bwzR4 is there a difference?
