Hi,

So my PC is blue screening. The last time it happened was around 2 weeks ago and i did a fresh install and that seemed to work.

The same thing happened last night, i don't remember installing any new software.

i overclocked a while ago using the CAM software and i did this in error just messing with the program, but i didn't reinstall it this time round.

Also, when i shut it down this morning, it froze of the shutting down screen with the egg timer on the arrow.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Charlie.

PC specs and software info needed.

Also helpful what you did when it happened also error messages.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

I have an i5 8400, GTX 1060 6GB, 8GB ram.

What software information would you need? and how would i find the error message?

Well, there is plenty threads about BSOD in Windows full of good advices.

I think this one has lot of informations: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/966491-the-worstbsod/

Unfortunatelly, without solution, but since you reinstalled Widows and still has bluescreens (which shows how pointless is to start solving problems from reinstalling), some of these guidelines may be good for you.

Unless it's hardware of course.

BTW - What do you overclocked? i5 8400?

@homeap5 i have the same error as in that post, but i also have another from the last 7 days event ID 16.

Display it.

Event ID 16 is probably related to Windows Update, so it's probably not that.

Also - use Autoruns64.exe (I give link on some of my posts) and see what programs are running. You may display here the same sections as in that post.

I really want to help, but I don't want to write everything again, that is why I give you that link to other post.
