Auto share files dropped into shared folder

I'm sharing 2 drives on my computer over the network at home, I found out today that when I drag and drop files into the shared drives they don't automatically share them with everyone. (it's actually a folder on each drive because windows wanted to give issues)

Is there a function I missed (windows 10) or am I forced to manually add them? I know it should be possible to do it daily/weekly/manually using tasks and a cmd file using cacls, but that is one thing I would like to avoid.

AFAIK shared folders meant that other PCs on same network can access that folder. Any content will remain on PC folder is located until they are copied to local folder.

If you want something more like syncing folders, there are few software solutions. One is to create script and set it to run timed. The script would copy any files added to local folder. Another, and one I use, is to use actual sync/backup software. My pick is Resilio Sync. Free version has limits on settings like when and what to sync. But overall it allows you to set folder which content is synced across connected devices. You can choose between sutomatic and upon request sync, and select which devices have read only or read&write rights. Software compares logs to determinate which files to remove if you have two write-enabled devices.

@LoGiCalDrm The problem I found is when I moved files over their permissions never changed according to the share folders permissions and on 3 seperate devices (phone/2 laptops) that are not associated to my computers username don't show the new files.

Nah don't need or want syncing, imagine trying to sync (initially) nearly 6TB of data ;) Over WiFi nonetheless xD Maybe when I get some free time and cash to blow for 100TB of space...

For permissions here is what I mean: (Both files are in the same shared folder, this is under "give access to" > "specific people")

Accessible to everyone:

Accessible to only me:

The "I'm having trouble sharing" link is useless, it opens up Edge and goes to a generic windows help page...
