I have an AMD FX-8350, and I have been noticing lack of performance I have pretty decent components like the MSI GEFORCE GTX 970 w/ 16GB of RAM, and other odds and ends, Including an SSD. My question is what upgrade of CPU should I go for in this type of setup? Any suggestions??

I have everything up to date as far as I know my Cpu only started having poor performance as of the last couple months, I've had this PC for 2 years, and I used to be able to stream and record with no problems, I have also OC my CPU.

Well, you'll need a new motherboard, RAM and CPU. A R7 1700, X370 Prime Pro and 16GB of DDR4-3000 would be a good combo.

50$ for 200mhz is not worth it.

It's also CL14. I makes a difference  And weather or not something is worth the money is up to there person buying it.  I'd totally go for it because Ryzen loves fast ram and 3200 is the sweetspot.

It is normal to see the performance of your system lower or seem to lower because of possible things such as component wear, dust, hear damage, water damage, or just new software being run on it which might expect more from your system's hardware. If your SSD has signs of slowing down highly then that would be a sign of failure and i would immediately back up the data and be prepared for the failure of the drive. Are you wanting to stay on the same computer platform or are you wanting to change (it may need to change the motherboard also for this). I would suggest cleaning out dust on the system as that is could be causing the lowered performance especially if your PC is louder than once recalled before). And, what are you planning to run on the system (to get a context of what hardware upgrade would be most applicable for your system).

Hope that this helps,   @Boomwebsearch
