RAM clocks

Go to solution Solved by Volbet,

It's DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM. That means that you need to double the speed that CPU-Z gives you.

I have 16 gb of vengeance 1600mhz low profile ram installed in my ASUS sabertooth 990FX 2.0 and iam running a amd FX 8350. it has a EUFI bios. my bios is updated up to the day of today

So the problem with my ram is that i cant get it running at 1600 mhz. I checked the timings and frequencys en clocked my bios to that.

when i look at it with cpuZ it tell iam running at 800 mhz.

It is running at 1600 Mhz. Like the person said it's Double Data Rate so if you multiply that number by 2 you will get 1600.

Setup: i5 4670k @ 4.2 Ghz, Corsair H100i Cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB Ram @ 1600 Mhz, MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard, Corsair GS700 2013 edition PSU, MSI GTX 770 Lightning, Samsung EVO 120 SSD + 2TB&1TB Seagate Barracudas, BenQ XL2411T Monitor, Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones + AntLion ModMic 4.0
