Good day,

So I'm applying to a new job and as a requirement i had to answer a questionnaire and that went fairly well as they contacted me for a follow up and also sent me a second one to complete,

The first question is to build a price to performance rig on a budget using only their store for a client, i think I've come up with a pretty decent one for the purpose of the exercise but would also like to see what someone else could come up with, so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to their website here, so if you are keen to help me, send me a pm and I'll give you a link to the website.

The challenge is that it has to Run at Full HD and the build needs to include peripherals too. (Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, Headset) OS doesn't need to be included and shipping is also not included in the challenge.

Please note that this is set in Rand which is the South African Currency. The budget is R14 000.

The purpose is price to performance for a potential client, Sadly i'm restricted to using the prices on their website, and it has to include everything for the potential client.

what will the client be using his build for? without this it is very difficult to optimize price to performance

a good baseline that should fit the budget:

r3 1200 with an rx 580. not to mention 8GB of 2*4GB ddr4 3000/3200mhz.

some random monitor and keyboard and mice.

again, we dont know what the client will be using his pc for.

edit: also, you should be doing this yourself.

Here is what i've come up with thats within the R14000 budget. Please also note that the budget is incl VAT

14 k pc.docx

2600 costs the same.

also the 1050ti sucks. drop the cpu to a 1200 or 2200g.

the A series boards are allways bad value, get a B350 PRO4 from asrock. get a rx 570/rx580 instead of the 1050ti. maybe the get the gtx 1060 3GB, but it should be avoided.

in gaming it is all about maximizing the GPU without loosing too much in terms of CPU.
