When me and my friend are playing games (Sometimes its just him playing) His computer crashes. The crash report says (according to him) irql_not_less_or_equal. So I know that this is a memory problem because when I first built my computer it said this once then I fixed it with drivers. But that doesn't work for him. He is on the latest drivers for his memory. He had updated every driver known to man kind and nothing has helped. I just want to grind some some games for more than 15 minutes without his Computer crashing. (He has a pre-built PC from Best buy that was fine for about half a year until this past week)

Uh, there is nothing that needs to be downloaded for ram.

You literally just plug it into the motherboard and that's it.

Do you know how to fix his problem or not?

A clean install would allow you to see if it is a hardware or software problem, and also remove whatever strange thing he installed for his memory.

It could be a problem starting with one of the peripherals... or could be an incompatibility when something updated... these things are difficult to narrow down.

First things first. Open up the case and blow out any accumulated dust bunnies that moved in. Heat causes so many problems with computers, it isn't funny... Next download and install the latest driver for the video card, motherboard chipset, and unplug any accessory that isn't necessary (keyboard, mouse and display is all you need during troubleshooting). If the issue still happens, there are two possibilities. If the above didn't work, I would move on to @Enderman's suggestion and reinstall Windows.

It could be a problem buried in Windows, or it could be an early sign of hardware failure.

There's no place like ~
