Haha no the switch is on just the system isn't turned on.

Then the PC is still on.  It's in standby.

The PSU is still providing power, via +5VSB.

Could be that your +5VSB load is right where the PSU's transient filtering components or +5VSB circuit are creating harmonic frequencies in the audible range.

A "quick and dirty" troubleshoot would be to unplug the 24-pin from the motherboard (while the PSU is still on, but the PC is in standby, of course) and see if the buzz goes away.

So I just randomly noticed an audiable buzz coming from the power supply. Computer isnt even on at all. What do I do now, is this thing gonna die?

It's not on "at all"?

So you mean the on/off switch on the back of the PSU is in the off position??

5V load... I figured it out. It's because I recently plugged my ps4 controller and left it connected. Plugged it off and the buzz is gone. Oh my god this was absolutely silly but I'm relieved. Thanks for the hint jonny.

Right.  Most USB ports are still live when the PC is off because many of them use the +5VSB (always on) rail of the PSU.
