mini 2080ti?

so i wasnt around for the movement to mini cards during the Pascal era, so I dont know how long it takes for cards like a 2080 to go from FE to a more managable size (like the Gigabyte 1080 Mini card) How long does this process usually take?

Some time between 0 and 12 months.

Rarely it takes more than that.

Depends which one you're talking about.

Just put the name and "release date" into google and it should tell you or look at the date it first appeared on amazon.

Well maybe first wait until it exists on the market so that you can know if it the price worth it.

Maybe it's better to see what the regular 2080ti's temp is at when fully load.

yea obviously i was just wondering if i could forecast when to look

Either at release or months afterwards.

Manufacturers release them when they're ready, not on some specific schedule.

Just keep looking until you find some.

high end cards rarely gets the mini treatment. only 1 manufacturer that have 1080 ti mini (zotac) that i knew of.

1080 ti announced in march 2017, the earliest review of the mini is around august 2017.

the demand is low for high end mini cards. ITX builders are content with mid tier cards because of the heat.

  • 2 months later...

It took some time for the 1080ti to become a mini card I suggest watching the trade shows. When a company comes up with a mini or a small version of a big card it normally makes a big splash. Till then though the 1080ti mini is still a good card. Before I was running a fury nano before my 1080ti mini card. I built a tiny PC in the 110https://pcpartpicker.com/b/9tQZxr I've updated since then, but I've been a bit lazy to update the page. I'm moving into a new direction with my next update of the PC. Ill be using the ideas from both the 110 and the Lazer3d LZ7 and cramming them into one case. I might make 10 cases and sell them but time will tell.
