HDD PROBLEM

Hello I have a spare HDD 2.5 but my brother installed it with windows 7.....and my question is can i use it also as a external HDD (put it in a enclosure) ill just add a 2nd partition then use that partition as storage.......will the other PC recognize it???? will it cause problems??

like when i return it back to the laptop will windows 7 be  corrupted??? thanks for the answer......

unplug it when you are starting your computer or else it might not like it that much but when booted in you should be fine
