GPU usage goes down, framerates go down too.

Hello.

 

So yesterday just paired a gtx 1060 6gb with an amd a10 7870k and 8gb of ram ddr3 @1600.

Mother board is an asus a88m-e.

For example csgo I get an anverage of 180fps. but one in a while it drops to 60 stays there for a few seconds then goes back up and then just loops.

i unmounted and mounted every part and wire inside the case, reinstalled drivers, reinstalling windows even downgrading to windows 7 , talked with nvidia customer support and amd too.

I tried every internet fix out there but nothing.

I am quite dissapointed because without the drops I can easly run pubg in 70-80 fps and many other games 60+.

 

Not 1 solution helped me here.

What happens is that gpu usage goes from 30-40% down to 5-10% and it is causing these frame drops.

CPU usage however stays at 60-80% its werid because every single core has different % but whatever.

gpu is about 50-60 and cpu 60-65 sometimes 70.

are you running out of memory? Check task manager

No the memory is just fine.

Ingames however doesnt seem to go over 4gb on ram

CPU bottleneck... though not sure if that's because of OBS (or whatever software used in recording)

It was shadow play but in any other game it stays at about 60 70 % cpu usage

It's a CPU bottleneck. In the video you posted you can see all of the CPU cores are always stuck at 100%

Sadly msi afterburner doesnt have cpu coreclock but it is 3.8-4.0 ghz

In some games it is full, some not.

lowering the settings only helps a bit.

uhh.. it's there in the option? Just want to make sure CPU doesn't throttling when it happen.

Uhh.. maybe VRM overheating but pretty rare to happen.
