Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a new pc, and I was wondering if the current layout I have will suffer any bottlenecks. I'm looking to play games like overwatch, csgo, smite, and some single player games like fallout and the witcher 3. Additionally, I want to get into streaming and stuff. Please let me know what I can expect from this pc, I'd really love your feedback.

Are you going to be doing streaming or rendering?

What monitor resolution/refresh rate?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

1200, us, updated the post to include streaming. And I have a 1440p 144 Hz monitor with a 1ms refresh rate

The R7 1700/X is a good deal cheaper and only about 5-10% behind the 2700X depending on OC

should get a case that actually has airflow

1080s are cheap now

can just buy the SSD and case later if you need to hit that budget

The motherboard VRMs don't get too great until like the $200 mark

Better Ram (aim for 3200 Mhz) and larger SSD would be my suggestion.

Furthermore building in the S340 is a bit difficult at times. I've had an interesting experience adding a card to the bottom most slot. The headers on the bottom of my ATX motherboard are too close to the PSU shroud. If you can find a roomier case I'd do that

AMD Ryzen 3950x under a Noctua D15S, 32 Gb G Skill FlareX 3200 DDR4 running at 3200 CL14, Gigabyte Aorus Pro 570 Wifi, Gigabyte 2070 Super hooked to a Dell U2718Q 4k HDR monitor & an Acer 1440p 144hz IPS panel of some kind, an Inland 1 TB M.2 PCIE 4 main drive, a Samsung NVME M.2 250Gb, WD Blue 500Gb  and 1 TB SSDs, Corsair RMX750, Rainbows and butterflies...

If you're mostly gaming I'd say get an 8700k instead

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

So figure, I'm probably not gonna need a ryzen 7, and a 1070 will be just fine for the games I wanna play. Will this suffice?

The X470 Ultra gaming is a likely better board

240GB SSD is the minimum you'd want

This looks A LOT like the PC I'm building my kid. Swap the SSD for a 970 EVO, swap the Asus for a MSI mobo, swap the 1080 for an RTX580, and throw in a FreeSync monitor.

I'm not sure about that but the same cooler is available on their main website for just a few dollars more.
