Which type?

EvanPcBuilding

I don't really care about the money here. In general, are SSD's just better than HDD's?

Hell yes

-Faster read write speeds

-No mechanical parts so it lasts longer

-Less power draw

-S is better than H

Just a question. Should I get a NVME, M.2 or a SATA ssd?

M.2 can be eitehr NVME or sata.

If you have a M.2 slot on your motherboard you can reduce cable clutter by buying M.2 format SSD (which type will be determined by the motherboard, some only support NVME, some only sata, some both).

NVME is faster than sata but unless you're moving tons of files around for video editing or something you won't really notice a difference so it would be better to buy sata and get more space. (like 860 evo)

Unless money isn't a problem, in that case get NVME M.2 from samsung. (like 970 evo/pro)

Hello EvanPcBuilding,

NVME feels sweet when it comes to load times, boot from NVME is great but other than opening applications faster it is not such a big deal. I would get one only if the budget allows me to but any SATA SSD can give you good results too.

I found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07822Z77M/?tag=pcpapi-20

Is that a good buy or? (1tb above is what I'm looking for)

Thats a sata drive, just a m.2 form, so it won't be super fast. If you want a bit extra speed for about the same speed, look at a intel 660p. If you want a faster drive look at a hp ex920.

I mean, I have a budget of $200 dollars.

Id get a 660p then, its a bit faster.

I'm gonna go with a Crucial MX500

But, I've got a question: is the Crucial MX500 SATA M.2 faster than the Normal Drive SSD Crucial MX500?

Checking the specs of the NVMe 660p. It happens to be that it also comes in 1TB and 2TB, I saw the 1TB in amazon for about $550 :):
