HELP ADSL2+ Internet

HI I live in Australia and the internet is CRAP I get 2.0Mps Download on a good day (can get down to 800KB) I live in a unit complex and was asking around and everyone else is getting 10-20Mbs. what's reason for bad internet? I was watched Linus's videos one is buy another modem and the other one sorta only works in the US. anyone have any tips?

Are you using Wifi or ethernet? if you are all on the same network then probably your network card is limiting you

Check your connection settings.

 

If you're on Telstra you should be using the connection settings they recommend. (It makes a difference trust me.) 

 

Make sure you're hard wired to the router.

Please log in to your ISP supplied modem and review the upstream and downstream line stats on the router.

To be able to diagnose ADSL connections, I would need the line stats. 

 

It will look something like this within your modem/router GUI;

Paste your line stats, then we can attempt to assist.
