Which one should I get? (31.5" 2k monitors)

Kranolf

Hey guys!

So I wanted to get (and I actually ordered couple hours ago but it's still not confirmed) the Asus XG32VQ. I have an nvidia card, but I realised that there isn't any monitor like this, but with gsync, and I tried a 27" 2k gsync and this one, and I didn't really feel so much difference.

However I didn't know there are cheaper options for this monitor, until now, and found the AOC, and Acer predator (looks a bit uglier though) which is noticably cheaper than the Asus. The MSI monitor I checked out and it seems you can't adjust the screen, which really sucks so I wouldn't get that one, that is the reason I didn't mention it.

Also what is the difference between VA and SVA panels? What is the sRGB (cause for the asus it's the highest, guess that's good).

Thanks for all the help!

Just now, Motifator said:

SVA is a type of a VA panel, while the % amount of sRGB shows how much color space the monitor can display regarding sRGB.

There is a monitor like that:

Yea but VA or SVA is better?

Also this is not curved, and I really love curved monitors :(

I can't answer that question without knowing the two monitors that are being compared, and yes, that is the only 32" G-Sync high refresh rate monitor sadly.

Then I have no idea, there's a german part picker link anyways

Either get a 4k 60hz IPS display or a 1440p 144hz IPS display, probably with free-sync as it'll be cheaper, will work fine as a monitor on nvidia GPUs.

That one just happens to be at a good price for a 4k display of that size...27" ones are around the price of the other monitor.

I already know I'm gonna buy a 144hz 1440p, freesync one. My question was, which one is the best? Cause I wanted the ASUS one but I guess that's the most expensive of them all, and not sure if it's worth paying that extra or not.

It's SVA, that was my main questions in the thread! What is the difference between SVA and VA? Which is better, which is worse, and why?

VA/SVA/IPS are all going to be basically the same, wouldn't worry about panel differences, just check reviews for whatever monitor you're going to buy.
