A way to control usage on win 10 remotely

Urri
Go to solution Solved by Urri,

i found Qustodio but it costs... but works great. can block porno and unwanted stuff including automatic time limiter.

Im looking for something similar to as netcafes use, yet very simple to use.

The idea is that the kids PC will have "case by case" amount of time for them to use and i could add time remotely from an app if possible on my phone.

I would set up admin account and then an account for the kids, but when the time is finished i want it to log off and close all programs that were in use.

Ive tried windows version of account management and frankly its horribly laggy and when time ran out everything stayed open so i they were on youtube it kept on playing.>.<

any ideas ?

Use Remote Desktop. When you log in into kids/admin account, user is automatically logged out and you have full control over windows (so you may shut down computer). And of course password for log in so your kids can't turn on computer again without your permission.

This would be something advanced group policies do. Other than that, you are looking at embeded system, or some tweaking to Parental lock.

This might sound dumb, but most wifi routers / access points have a web interface that would let you block a MAC address (no internet), and should work on your phone. Might be easier? If they can figure out how to spoof their MAC address then kudos to them; they are smart.

As for a free simple way to filter internet content; look into changing their DNS servers to point to a filtering DNS server that you can trust.
