Unless you're intellectually impaired (IQ under 77) or physically disabled, you're going to be absolutely fine.

What I would recommend is that you ask someone like @Herman Mcpootis or another experienced forum advisor for a parts list that is EASY to assemble. That's the best course a beginner can take- to spend a little more on things like the case, motherboard, and power supply to make the first build easier, more streamlined, and more enjoyable.

This is what I would get-

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor  ($249.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master - MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus - Prime Z370-P ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($115.78 @ Amazon)

Case: Cooler Master - MasterBox Lite 5 RGB ATX Mid Tower Case  ($59.25 @ Amazon)

Consider this:

It comes out at $968 after the promo code. Dell isn't really known for doing a good job in their pre-builts, but neither is CyberpowerPC or iBuypower. I just like this particular model for the brand legacy.

Alienware prebuilts are actually pretty solid, but $968 is TERRIBLE value for an i5 8400 + GTX 1060 PC. Something like that should be valued at $650, $700 tops.

Even at $968, it's easy to get an 8600k+1070 Ti build, which is several times more powerful.

Nobody said you have a low IQ. I said anyone who isn't intellectually impaired - in the exact clinical sense of the term - should be able to build a PC, given how simple it is these days.

Not being the smartest person isn't an obstacle for building PCs, but laziness is. It IS more work than buying one, but it's also more value, more fun, and more valuable experience.
