Custom built will have a longer lasting warranty (3-5 years) depending on parts you've chose.

true, it only comes with 1 year warranty

however I would identify faults in well under a year and will take good care of it so i dont think it matters much

I have absolutely no idea how £1300 is "about the same price" as £950. I would absolutely not recommend the system below, it's just to show what an equivalent system would cost.

Build the PC yourself, a 5 year old can do it.

its £1300

Ended up at £1240 for me. What's the build for? Gaming? In that case, you're comparing an expensive 1070 build with another nonsensical build. If you get more sensible parts for gaming, you can easily get a much better system.

As an example (the GPU pricing is £100 higher than what's on PCPP):

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor  (£269.99 @ Aria PC)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG - M9i 48.4 CFM CPU Cooler  (£19.99 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Motherboard: ASRock - Z370 Pro4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (£89.96 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory  (£143.99 @ Aria PC)
Storage: Crucial - MX500 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£51.59 @ Aria PC)
Storage: *Hitachi - Ultrastar 7K3000 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£47.79 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB FTW3 DT GAMING Video Card  (£517.26 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Fractal Design - Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case  (£69.00 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: BitFenix - Formula Gold 450W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply  (£59.99 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Total: £1269.56

For just gaming, you can drop the CPU cooler or drop the CPU to the 8400 to reduce the price.

With that said, it's worth waiting a few days until the next gen Nvidia cards launch.

I would tell you to kys, but that isn't allowed, so I won't do that. Instead, I will explain to you that you don't seem very mature.
