sup lads, once the rtx 2080ti comes out, i will be running that with a ryzen 5 2600x. since i will be traveling alot i'm going to put them in a fractal design node 202 mini itx case.

i need a good sfx psu, the highest i could find was 650w enermax revolution: https://www.megekko.nl/product/4186/187174/PC-Voedingen/Enermax-REVOLUTION-SFX-650W-SFX-Zwart

is this enough watt? and is this a good quality psu?

if not what would you recommend?

We don't know the power draw of the 2080ti as it doesn't technically exist yet. I'm going to be inclined to say that 650 will get the job done though, unless the 20xx series do some wicked power draw.

the Enermax Revolution appears to be a fairly solid PSU.

You won't be drawing anywhere near 650W with an mITX system. You won't be overclocking the GPU, that's for sure.

Even assuming the power draw of the 2080 Ti (which I really will doubt comes out with the 2080) is like Vega on air (which I also doubt), you'll be absolutely fine on a good 450W PSU.

Afaik, the best SFX PSU currently is the Corsair SF Platinum.

The Enermax Revolution SFX 650W uses an 80mm sleeve bearing fan and has a 3 year warranty. It's also extremely loud, with the fan spinning g at 1400RPM at a 65W load, and up to 3700RPM at a full load.

Compare that to the SF450 Platinum, which has a 92mm rifle bearing fan, a 7 year warranty, and it's much quieter, running passive up to ~200W, and up to 2250RPM at full load. It has also less ripple than the Revolution SFX.

You don't need no 650W, 450W is more than plenty for that.

And that also increases the possible choices.

And it looks like its even possible to use SFX-L PSU in that unit....

Anyway, there aren't many good choices in SFX anyway...

PSU calculators are useless and overestimate by a ton. This is the wall power draw with a 7820X using a platinum efficiency PSU. Take the numbers and subtract ~10%. And of course your Ryzen will draw less power than an HEDT CPU.

also, i went on coolermaster psu calculator, i came out on 508w.

Thats the same as the Outervision one and that one is total bullshit and overestimates by a mile or two or ~50-100%.

Your system will work without OC with a good 450W PSU.

Do not trust those with a financial incentive to sell you higher wattage units, even though they are crap...

Get a Powermeter and test it for yourself...
