i am going off to college in a year and i need to transplant my pc to a smaller case. i need a case that can fit 1-2 3.5 hhd and 2 2.5 ssds and it also need the ability to fit my full size a060 6gb. i will be getting a new mobo and psu so their size isn't a factor and i also would like to air cool if possible. and i dont care about temped glass or rgb.

I'd recommend the Fractal Design Nano S for your specific requirement. Other alternatives in the SFF market is the SG13B and the Node 202, but they have other limitations (such as low profile coolers and less storage drives). There are many smaller, but they don't fit your requirements.

Fan Comparisons          F@H          PCPartPicker         Analysis of Market Trends (Coming soon? Never? Who knows!)

Designing a mITX case. Working on aluminum prototypes.

Open for intern / part-time. Good at maths, CAD and airflow stuff. Dabbled with Python.

OP said small. Nano S isn't that much of a space savings measure tbh.

I'd go Thermaltake V1

The Nano S is only ~%18 larger than the V1. If the Nano S isn't a "space saving measure", then the Thermaltake V1 isn't really either.

Here are some of the main differences between the cases (regarding compatibility for OP's goal):

  • The Nano S is compatible with 162mm tall CPU coolers (The Noctua D15 will fit) while the V1 is limited to 140mm.
  • The Nano S supports 315mm cards with the V1 is 260mm.

@Silent_arrow What specific 1060 do you have?

Regardless, I stay away from Thermaltake due to their poor business practices (copying other company's designs almost exactly).
