GTX 1070 good for 3d modeling ???

it seems to be the best budget option 

if you look at these tests for blender which tests the hard ware in about the same way

The Quadro P2000 would be a better option, see Linus' video about it

Get either a RX580 or A Quadro from Pascal architecture.

The new ray tracing tech in the 20 series cards(2080 coming on 20 august) may help with your 3D modeling.

Oh, in that case get a Vega 56 if you can find it or a 1070 will be fine if you cant
