Stock Cooler In CPU Box

Depends on the CPU you're buying, some don't come with a cooler at all.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Yes. Although I do recommend getting a better thermal paste than the preapplied toothpaste, even an aftermarket cooler if you can. Stock intel coolers are pretty potate.

My work pc has an 8400 and a stock cooler, it got pretty loud and hot. Peak temp was ~75c. This just preference, but I'd rather my CPUs remain below 70 even under heavy load.

Not very loud, but audible.

You don't need a aftermarket cooler for a i5 8400, even though I did. Specifically for Aesthetics.

what do you mean by aftermarket cooler?

Aftermarket cooler means ones you buy separately. So ones like CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo, Cryorig H7, Deepcool Gammaxx 400, be Quiet! Pure Rock, Noctua U12S and so on.

The paste comes preapplied on the cooler.
